Kids Morning Clay Workshop
Kids Morning Clay Workshop
Date; Wednesday August 13th
Time ; 10.30-1pm
Where; Upstairs Studio at Blackwatervalley Makers Fermoy Cork
Ages ; 6yrs Up
Using professional clay and tools your child will learn the techniques to create fun Sculptures such as their favourite animal, scary monster and a fantastical Bird
All work can be taken home and I will show how to recycle their clay so it can be reused again and again
There will be a break for refreshments which is included along with all materials and tools in the price

Printing for Teens
Printing for Teens
Date ; Friday August 15th
Time ; 10.30-1pm
Where; Upstairs Studio at Blackwatervalley Makers Gallery Fermoy
In this morning Workshop you will learn how to carve a lino block with special tools and print with it numerous times with printing ink to create your very own Greeting cards , artwork and T-shirts . All of these materials are supplied on the day and I will show you what inks to use on them . A fun way to maybe start your very own printing business!
Time permitting I will also show another printing technique called Mono Printing
There will be a break mid class for snacks / refreshments which are also included in the price
Ages 12 upwards . Limited Spaces available .

Cost : €120
In this half day workshop you will learn how to create a full body Sculpture using professional clay and tools. We will explore the female form both literally and abstractly to create a truly unique piece of Art. All work can be taken home and I will show how to recycle your clay so you can use it again and again
There is no experience necessary for this Workshop all you need is your creativity and an apron!
There will be a break mid class for snacks and refreshments which are included in the price.
A non refundable deposit of €50 is required for this workshop however if the class is cancelled by me your deposit will be returned
Remainder can be paid on the day by cash or Revolut

In this Morning workshop your child will learn how to make fun textured projects such as bowls ,dishes and pots with professional clay and tools and also get some tuition on the pottery wheel too.
All work can be taken home and I'll also show how to recycle clay so it can be reused again and again
There will be a break mid class for snacks and refreshments also included in price

Where: Upstairs Studio at Blackwatervalley Makers Fermoy Cork
Cost : €120
In this Half day Workshop you will learn how to carve a lino block with special tools and print with both fabric and paper inks to create your very own greeting cards ,wrapping paper and either a tea towel or t.shirt on the day. Everything is supplied including a selection of images you can trace onto your block before carving . There will be a a break mid class for snacks and refreshments also included in the price . All materials and tools included
There is no experience necessary for this just bring your creativity and an apron. It might inspire you to start up your very own printing business!
A non refundable deposit of €50 is required for this booking however if I cancel the class for some reason you will receive a refund
The remainder can be paid on the day by cash or revolut
In this 6 week course you will learn all the techniques you need to get creative with Clay.
Week 1: Pinch Pots
Week 2: Coiling
Week 3:Slab building
Week 4:Sculpture
Your work will then get a bisque firing and we will decorate and glaze on the 5th week
Week 6 your work is returned to you and you will learn a decorative technique on a clay tile
This is a structured class which centres on your own individual creativity
Small groups of 6-8
€200 All materials and refreshments included ( non refundable if cancelled by you)
No experience necessary but also suitable if you've had experience with clay or if you're returning to the class the projects are different from previous classes.
In this 6 week course you will learn the basic techniques to produce mugs,jugs,bowls and plates on the Pottery Wheel. Your pieces will be combined with some hand building techniques also
Week 1: How to make a mug
Week 2: How to make a bowl
Week 3: How to make a plate
Week 4: Trimming your work. This is when your pieces have dried a little and you can perfect the piece. We can then add handles and feet
Week 5 : Your pieces have their first firing and we will then decorate and glaze them
Week 6: Your work is returned glazed and ready to use. We then return to the wheel to go over everything learned in the past 6 weeks
€250 All materials firings included
As these are private classes you can pick a day and time that suits you each week
Mon - Fri between 10.30-5pm ( Sat after 2pm only)
